Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering, shipping, returns and our products.
Orders & Shipping
All orders ship from our Portuguese warehouse via tracked courier. UK orders arrive in 4-6 business days, EU orders in 5-7 business days, and US orders in 7-10 business days. You'll receive a tracking number by email the moment your parcel leaves the warehouse.
Yes — every order ships free worldwide, no minimum spend, no hidden fees. We've baked the cost into our pricing so there are no surprises at checkout.
We ship to 23 countries: United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. If your country isn't on the list, email orders@kovaeu.com and we'll see what we can do.
As soon as your parcel leaves our Portuguese warehouse, we'll email you a tracking link. You can also visit our Track Order page anytime and enter your order number to see live updates.
Email orders@kovaeu.com as quickly as you can. If your order hasn't been packed yet (usually within 4 hours of purchase), we can change the size, colour, address, or cancel completely. Once it's left the warehouse, you'll need to use our 30-day return process.
Returns & Refunds
30 days, no questions asked. If a piece doesn't fit or you simply change your mind, send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be unworn, unwashed, and with the original tags still attached. We cover the return shipping cost. See our full Returns & Refunds page.
We do. When you start a return, we'll email you a prepaid shipping label — just print it, stick it on the parcel, and drop it off at any post office or carrier point. No costs, no friction.
Once we receive and inspect your return (usually within 2 business days of arrival at our warehouse), we issue the refund to your original payment method. Funds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
Yes — we offer free exchanges for a different size or colour. Reply to your order confirmation email or contact orders@kovaeu.com with your order number and what you'd like to swap for. We'll send the new piece as soon as the original is on its way back.
Sizing & Fit
KOVA pieces follow standard UK sizing with a slightly relaxed fit through the body and shoulders. Hoodies and crews sit just below the hip; tees have a regular drop. If you're between sizes, we recommend going with your usual.
Each product page has our Find My Size tool — a 30-second quiz based on your height, weight and fit preference. It recommends the right size with a confidence rating, based on data from thousands of fittings. No tape measure needed.
No. All our cottons are pre-washed at the mill in Portugal before cutting, so any shrinkage has already happened. Wash cold (30°C), tumble dry low or hang dry, and your piece will keep its shape wash after wash.
We use UK sizing as standard across the site. If you're shopping from the US or EU, our currency selector also converts the size labels — switch your currency in the top-right of the page and sizes will display in your region's format automatically.
Products & Materials
Every KOVA piece is cut, sewn and finished in Portugal. We work with two family-run mills: Riopele in Famalicão for our heavyweight cottons, and Penedo in Vizela for our knit fabrics. Both have been making textiles for over 80 years and are OEKO-TEX certified.
Our hoodies and crews are 380-400 GSM heavyweight loop-back cotton. Our t-shirts are 220 GSM combed ring-spun cotton. Our outerwear uses recycled nylon shells with PFC-free DWR coating. Knitwear is merino blend or pure combed cotton. Everything is OEKO-TEX certified and pre-washed.
Quiet by design. We believe the cut, the weight and the fabric should speak for themselves — not a logo across your chest. KOVA branding is limited to a small woven label inside the neck and a discreet hem tag. That's it.
Yes. All our production happens in EU-regulated Portuguese workshops with full labour protections, fair wages and safe working conditions. Both Riopele and Penedo are SMETA-audited. We visit the factories in person twice a year.
Payments & Security
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. All transactions are secured with 256-bit SSL encryption and processed by Whop, our PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment partner. We never see or store your card details.
Absolutely. Our checkout is fully PCI-DSS compliant and runs over a 256-bit encrypted connection. Card details are tokenised and never touch our servers — they go directly to our payment processor. We're also fully GDPR compliant for all EU and UK customers.
For UK and EU customers: no. All duties and taxes are pre-paid at checkout via our DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping. The price you see is the price you pay. For US, Canada, Australia and other non-EU destinations, customs duties may apply on arrival depending on your local rules — we don't charge them on our side.
